What is a floating board to board connector
The floating connector is the same as the green insulator on the right. A general rigid adapter cannot be fitted when the assembly orientation on the substrate is incorrect, but the floating connector can be fitted in the correct orientation even if the assembly orientation is not correct. The insulator (the green portion) can be offset to this orientation. Thereby, it is possible to reduce the influence of the azimuth shift occurring when the adapter is attached on the substrate or the device offset between the substrate and the outer casing.
